I am a Mogadishu-based local producer, fixer and Somali-English interpreter with a BA (Hons) in Film & Media from the UK and practical experience in project operations, stakeholder coordination and production support.

I support international journalists, documentary teams, researchers, organisations and visiting professionals who need reliable local assistance in Somalia. I can help with Somali-English interpretation, contributor and interview coordination, local liaison, research and fact-checking, location research, production support, field coordination, documentation and practical logistics.

My strength is combining language, local knowledge and operational problem-solving. I am comfortable communicating across different environments, arranging people and schedules, following up with local contacts, and helping outside clients understand how to navigate situations on the ground.

Where specialist support is needed, I can also help arrange and coordinate trusted local providers such as drivers, additional interpreters, production assistants, photographers, videographers, equipment providers and other local support.

I do not present myself as a security or political expert, and I do not guarantee restricted access or official permissions. Where those are required, I can help make initial enquiries and identify the appropriate local contacts or specialist providers.

I am available for short-term and project-based assignments in Mogadishu and, depending on the scope, logistics and security requirements, elsewhere in Somalia.
