Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for 19-year-old Racing Santander left-back Jorge Salinas after Newcastle’s Lewis Hall became a less likely target. Salinas helped Santander win promotion to La Liga and recorded seven assists in 34 appearances last season. Atlético Madrid have reportedly had a bid rejected and set a weekend deadline, while Barcelona are also linked. Santander sporting director Chema Aragon said Salinas could leave if a club meets his €16 million release clause and the player approves the destination.

Christopher Nkunku could become available to Manchester United after Ruben Amorim reportedly deemed him surplus to requirements at AC Milan. United have tracked the French forward since 2022, but previously rejected opportunities to sign him because of limited scouting information and concerns about a short-term solution.
