William Mitchell sculpture removed during Coventry demolition
A Grade II-listed William Mitchell mural from Coventry’s former Three Tuns pub has been removed in four sections during demolition for the City Centre South redevelopment. The 30-tonne sculpture, commissioned during the city’s post-war regeneration, will be cleaned and stored before plans to reintegrate it into the redeveloped city centre are advanced. The Hill Group says the wider nine-year, multimillion-pound project will include more than 1,000 apartments, shops and entertainment venues, while other Coventry public artworks are also being conserved.

Nuneaton man accused of sexually assaulting girls at Kenilworth hotel
Ahmad Hania of Nuneaton has appeared at Coventry Magistrates' Court after being charged with sexual offences involving two girls at a Kenilworth hotel. He was arrested at his home after police located the girls at the hotel and has been remanded in custody.
