Millie Bampton, diagnosed at age seven with limb girdle muscular dystrophy, is undertaking a 150‑mile walk in July to raise awareness and funds for Muscular Dystrophy UK. Her younger sister Lola also lives with the same degenerative condition and has never been able to walk. Millie describes the daily challenges posed by LGMD but emphasises resilience, mutual support with her sister, and the need for greater funding toward treatment, support services, and research.
