Isobel Pankhurst compared instant coffees from Co-op, Morrisons and Sainsbury's with her usual Costa Instant Smooth Medium Roast, tasting them black. Costa remained the favourite for flavour but cost over £7 per 100g. Sainsbury's Gold Roast was the best supermarket option, praised for its balanced bitterness and aroma, and rated 3.5/5. Co-op's Fairtrade Gold Roast was considered slightly too bitter and rated 2.5/5, while Morrisons was the cheapest but weakest, with a burnt taste and a rating of 1.5/5.

Barafundle Bay Beach in Pembrokeshire and Traeth Mwnt in Ceredigion ranked first and second respectively in a 2026 list of the UK's best beaches. The ranking, compiled by Lapland Famille using Google Maps ratings, review numbers and official bathing-water classifications, placed Woolacombe Beach third and included three other Welsh beaches in the top ten. The study's managing director Alex Dyer cautioned that bathing-water classifications do not guarantee same-day safety and advised visitors to check live regulator updates, tides, weather and beach flags.
