Disinherited Barry man stole dead stepfather’s Land Rover
Rhys Watkins, 39, of Barry, stole his deceased stepfather’s Land Rover Discovery after breaking into the former family home following his disinheritance. The vehicle was recovered days later, and messages indicated he had discussed sharing proceeds from its sale. Watkins also pleaded guilty to 11 shoplifting offences, assaults on three police officers and failing to surrender to custody. Newport paedophile sentenced over child abuse images

Blackwood dog owner admits offence after Loki injured woman

Caerphilly Woman Caught Drink-Driving in Morrisons Car Park
Natalie Ker, 41, pleaded guilty at Newport Magistrates’ Court to drink-driving in a Morrisons car park in Caerphilly. Her blood-alcohol level was 244 milligrams per 100 millilitres, more than three times the legal limit. She received a community order lasting until August 2027, including 90 hours of unpaid work and up to 10 days of rehabilitation activity, as well as a 40-month driving disqualification.
