TikToker Ringz N Tingz described jumping over a garden fence to help residents during a fire on Gorleston Road in Birmingham. He and another man tried to stop the blaze spreading toward homes and a care home while elderly residents were evacuated. Ringz N Tingz said the fire destroyed residents’ homes and possessions, and he subsequently established a GoFundMe appeal that raised £11,000 in 24 hours; fundraising campaigns for victims had raised more than £110,000 in total.

Huda Ammori, co-founder of Palestine Action, has been granted permission to appeal to the UK Supreme Court against the group’s designation as a terrorist organization. The appeal will examine whether former home secretary Yvette Cooper incorrectly applied government policy, while challenges based directly on freedom of speech and association were rejected. The case is expected to be heard between October and December.
