Holidaymakers land at Manchester Airport and find out they are nowhere near their destination
A defect on Bristol Airport’s single runway led to the temporary suspension of flights, causing cancellations, delays and diversions. A Jet2 flight from Turkey carrying holidaymakers was redirected to Manchester Airport, leaving passengers including TikToker Luke Arnel-Cameron to arrange onward travel to southern England. Jet2 provided an Uber voucher, while affected TUI passengers reported lengthy waits, cancellations and rebookings. Bristol Airport said the runway was repaired overnight and that flights were suspended as a precaution to protect passenger and staff safety.
