Ninety-four golfers competed in the Bearne Cup strokeplay competition at Falmouth Golf Club. Callum Davis won the cup with a nett 66 and also recorded the day’s best gross score of 69. Paul Martin finished second overall, while Paul Jose, Bob Pine and Will Sercombe won their respective handicap categories.

Captain’s Day at Falmouth Golf Club saw 116 members compete in a Stableford tournament that also raised more than £4,000 for the Mermaid Centre at Treliske Hospital. Perfect weather and well‑maintained course conditions supported strong performances across all handicap categories, with Karen Hutchison winning the overall Captain’s prize with 39 points, ahead of runner‑up Alison Smith. Charity efforts led by men’s captain Ashley Bennett were highlighted as a major success.
