DWP August payment dates change for Universal Credit and pensions
Some recipients of Universal Credit, State Pension, Child Benefit, PIP and other benefits may receive payments early because August 31, 2026, is a bank holiday. Payments due that day will usually arrive on Friday, August 28, while the amount paid will not change. The earlier payment means recipients may need to budget over a longer period before payments return to their normal schedule.
