Pershore fire prompts £125k lifeline for region's families
More than £125,000 has been raised through GoFundMe appeals for families affected by fires across the West Midlands, including a £12,023 appeal for a family whose home in Pershore’s Lancelott Court was destroyed. The wider fires caused extensive damage in Stourbridge, Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent and other communities. The Heart of England Community Foundation launched an emergency appeal to coordinate assistance with local agencies, while Dudley Borough Council and GoFundMe warned donors about fake fundraising pages and advised them to verify links and use legitimate platforms.
