Grange Community Nursery and Primary School and The Oak View Academy in Winsford have both received Silver Awards from the Skills Builder Partnership for embedding teamwork, problem-solving, speaking and other essential skills into their curricula. Grange integrates the framework across all year groups and core subjects, while Oak View applies it across mainstream and specialist provisions. Both schools use digital assessments, staff training, pupil recognition, professional visits and educational trips to support students’ preparation for further education and employment.

The RSPCA is seeking a permanent home for Jessie and Bullseye, two inseparable cats believed to be around three years old who have been cared for at its Stapeley Grange Cattery in Nantwich since June. The gentle pair must be adopted together, preferably by a patient family with children over 11, no other pets and safe outdoor space. The appeal comes amid rising demand for animal rescue services and the RSPCA’s Cruelty Hurts Love Rescues fundraising campaign, launched during the summer period when reports of cruelty typically increase.
