Adkhamjon Janobiddinov is an independent journalist and researcher from Samarkand, Uzbekistan, focusing primarily on Central Asia’s politics, foreign affairs, culture, and tourism. Since 2022, he has contributed analysis, op-eds, and reported articles to a range of international media outlets and research platforms, writing on regional developments as well as broader geopolitical and cultural issues. His work has appeared in publications including China Daily, the Astana Times, the Brussels Times, EUobserver, Notizie Geopolitiche, Meer, and other international outlets, as well as policy platforms such as SpecialEurasia. Through these contributions, he explores political trends, historical context, and cultural dynamics shaping Uzbekistan and the wider Central Asian region. Adkhamjon’s reporting draws on strong research and interview work, as well as multilingual access to sources across the region. Fluent in several languages, including Central Asian languages, he is able to engage directly with local experts, policymakers, and communities, allowing him to translate regional perspectives and social dynamics for international audiences. His writing often seeks to bridge the gap between Central Asia and the wider world by providing locally grounded insights into the region’s politics, history, and society. Alongside his journalism, he actively promotes global awareness of Uzbekistan through research, commentary, and public engagement with international audiences. For instance, he is founder of the largest tourism community for Uzbekistan, and often interviewed by foreign media outlets on ongoing reforms in his country.
