Hampshire Constabulary responded to antisocial behaviour and theft-related incidents in Ringwood on July 29. Officers seized an e-scooter, issued a Community Resolution for cannabis possession, dispersed a group involved in antisocial behaviour and thefts from Sainsbury’s, and enforced a Section 35 Dispersal Order. Police also recovered a stolen motorcycle and reported continuing work on shoplifting, neighbour disputes, road collisions and other incidents.

An inquest ruled the deaths of Kayleigh and Christopher Coll at the New Forest Cider Festival as misadventure, determining that carbon monoxide toxicity from a gas-cylinder heater used inside their campervan caused their deaths. Witness testimony and expert analysis indicated the heater produced carbon monoxide in the enclosed space, extinguished due to lack of oxygen, and subsequently leaked gas, though the leak did not contribute to the fatalities. Family members described the couple warmly, and the coroner characterised the incident as an unintended consequence of using the heater indoors.
