A sailor was rescued after a dinghy capsized in Parkstone Bay. RNLI Poole Lifeboat was called by the UK Coastguard after the sailor was heard calling for help, but a passing jet-ski rider had already brought the cold and shaken sailor ashore and begun towing the dinghy. Lifeboat crew members checked the sailor, righted the dinghy and escorted it safely to land, with the Poole Coastguard Rescue Team also attending. The lifeboat was returned to service by 6.40pm.
