Northwich man harassed ex after relationship breakdown
A Northwich man received a community sentence after admitting to stalking and assaulting his former partner, including more than 1,300 phone calls, abusive messages and forcing a door open, causing her injury. The victim reported anxiety and fear following the harassment. The court heard the defendant attributed his behaviour to emotional distress and alcohol. He was ordered to wear an alcohol monitoring tag, complete rehabilitation days and perform unpaid work.
