Battle of Britain Memorial Flight aircraft are scheduled to fly over several Yorkshire locations on 8 and 9 August 2026. Planned flyovers include Doncaster, Elvington Airfield, Hessle and Withernsea, although timings and flights may change or be cancelled because of weather or operational requirements. The flight operates historic aircraft including Spitfires, Hurricanes, a Lancaster and a Dakota from RAF Coningsby, and conducts numerous flypasts and airshow appearances during its May-to-September display season.

Wayne Anderson of Skellow left his Jaguar E-Pace running on his driveway without applying the manual handbrake. The car began rolling downhill while he was inside retrieving a parcel, prompting him to chase after it. He threw the parcel aside and tried to stop the vehicle, but it crashed into a wall, damaging the rear door and bringing the car to a halt.
