Eighteen final-year students on the University of Chester’s BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Marketing course launched The Scene, a virtual fashion magazine, at a student-led graduate showcase in Chester. The event at Opera Bar & Grill attracted more than 120 guests and featured fashion films, branding, styling, photography, public relations and editorial work. Produced through the students’ Studio 204 creative agency, the Instagram-based magazine reflects the course’s emphasis on practical industry experience and collaborative creative development.

The White Horse gastropub, its regulars and the Churton Cyclists raised £5,673 for Hope House Tŷ Gobaith through the Churton Fest community festival and a 190-mile cycling challenge to climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). The hospice supports more than 750 children with life-threatening conditions and their families across Shropshire, Cheshire and North and Mid Wales, and relies heavily on public donations because only two months of its £10 million annual operating costs come from statutory funding.
