£1.2m Belle Vue Park café and toilets project on last hurdle
A long‑delayed plan to build a new café, toilet block and toddler play area in Belle Vue Park in Sudbury is close to final approval. Babergh District Council, which previously expanded the budget to £1.2 million due to rising costs, will vote on an additional £140,000 from its Community Infrastructure Levy fund. The added funding would cover toilets, changing facilities and groundwork, while £841,000 already allocated will fund the modular café. Councillor John Ward said the project could be completed by Easter and aims to boost park use and encourage visits to Sudbury’s town centre.
