Fine art photographer Daniele Longo has set off from Kent on a 10,000-mile motorcycle journey to Nepal with his aging rescue dog Haku riding in a specially adapted sidecar. Inspired by Wallace and Gromit’s A Close Shave, the trip will take them through Rome, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Central Asia and China, with the route avoiding Iran because of the war there. Longo plans to film the journey online and raise funds in Rome for its later stages, after earlier attempts to sail around the world and travel in an RV were unsuccessful.
