Emergency services respond to incident at River Dee, Shotton
Emergency services responded to reports of a man in the River Dee near Hawarden Bridge in Shotton. North Wales Police said officers attended with the Welsh Ambulance Service and that the man was safely removed from the water and transferred to ambulance staff. RNLI, Coastguard and fire-service teams were also seen at the scene, which they later left.

Cause revealed for Chester building fire on Saturday night
A fire broke out in a derelict building on Hoole Way in Chester on Saturday evening. Three fire crews attended, searched the empty premises and left after the incident was contained. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service later confirmed that the blaze had been started deliberately and shared its findings with police.

Crews tackling building fire on Hoole Way in Chester
Firefighters from Chester, Ellesmere Port and Powey Lane attended a fire at a disused building on Hoole Way, near Black Diamond Street, in Chester. Crews searched the building and found no one inside, then used a high-pressure fan to clear smoke. A fire investigation was scheduled to determine the cause, while traffic was reported to be building in the area.
