Mat Dorrian has been appointed Guernsey’s next medical director, succeeding Peter Rabey after his 11-year tenure. Dorrian, an experienced emergency consultant and GP who was awarded an MBE for his role in the island’s Covid-19 response, will assume the post in December 2026. He aims to continue improving patient-centred services alongside healthcare professionals.
