Uplyme & Lyme Regis Cricket Club celebrates 140th anniversary
Uplyme & Lyme Regis Cricket Club marked its 140th anniversary with more than 100 current and former players, members and guests at King George VI Playing Field. The event celebrated the club’s history, newly rediscovered records and notable performances, including Mike Denham’s century at Lord’s, Jon Whetlor’s club-record 190, Mark Colley’s nine-wicket haul and Andrew Harrison’s nine-wicket spell. Two honors boards were unveiled, former chairmen reflected on the club’s legacy and friendships, and organizers Gary Edginton and Donna Drew were recognized for arranging the celebration.
