Johnny Marcus has dedicated the last two years to his book-reportage 'Beco Sem Saída: A Chacina do Beco do Candeeiro 20 Anos Depois', which investigates the unsolved case of the 1998 murder of three adolescents in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso. Despite facing financial challenges and a lack of support from public funds and private entities, Marcus is determined to tell the story of the victims, known as Baby, Indinho, and Nado, and the social implications of their deaths. The book aims to prevent such tragedies from being forgotten and to stop similar acts of violence from recurring. Marcus plans to release the book in PDF format and distribute it for free, as his primary goal is to share the story, not to profit from it.
