Fraudster mum squandered £50,000 on holidays and takeaways in ultimate 'betrayal'
Bookkeeper Donna Pope was sentenced to 38 months in prison at Preston Crown Court after admitting to defrauding Ultimatum Group Ltd of £50,000 over two years. She used the company card for flights, hotels, takeaways, home deliveries, household items and subscriptions while company director Eddie Tucker was undergoing cancer treatment. The judge found that Pope had deliberately abused a position of trust and caused serious harm to Tucker, his family and the business. She will serve up to half the sentence in custody, with confiscation proceedings scheduled for January 18.
