Jonathan Smith recommends an approximately eight-mile circular walk from Austwick through Crummackdale, visiting Norber Erratics, Moughton Scars and the limestone pavements of the Ingleborough Nature Reserve. The route offers extensive views toward Pen-y-Ghent and includes varied terrain, farm tracks, lanes and exposed rock. Walkers are advised that the route is medium to hard, can be slippery in wet weather, and requires suitable clothing, footwear, a map and a compass in misty conditions.
