Police are investigating an alleged assault on a vulnerable resident outside Eeze Residential Care in Croydon after an anonymous witness claimed a staff member kicked the resident three times and photographed the incident. The care provider suspended the employee, launched an internal investigation and notified safeguarding authorities, while Croydon Council’s Adult Social Care team and the Care Quality Commission were also informed. No arrests have been made, no charges have been brought, and enquiries remain ongoing.

A 26-year-old man, Abdul Jagun, has been charged with three counts of common assault and being in charge of a dangerously out‑of‑control American Bulldog that injured two men at a shop on Eltham High Street in January 2023.
