‘Excited’ - Newcastle United confirm £5m agreement on multi-year deal
Newcastle United have confirmed a multi-year partnership with fintech company SumUp as the club’s front-of-training-kit sponsor, reportedly worth £5 million per season. The agreement increases Newcastle’s annual training-ground-related sponsorship income to £11 million, alongside existing deals with KNOX Hydration, which include training-kit, shirt and training-ground naming rights. The club is also planning a £190 million training facility at the Woolsington Hall estate and expects to apply for planning permission in 2027.

Two Newcastle United players ruled out of Premier League opener against Liverpool
Newcastle United will be without Tino Livramento and Joelinton for Sunday's Premier League opener against Liverpool. Livramento, recovering from a calf injury that ruled him out of England's World Cup squad, has trained only partially and is expected to need more time. Joelinton is expected to remain sidelined for a couple of weeks. With senior right-backs Kieran Trippier and Emil Krafth having left, Newcastle are expected to start new signing Amar Dedic at right-back.

Newcastle United agree significant purchase as PIF green light £190m 'world-class' investment
Newcastle United has agreed to purchase the 260-acre Woolsington Hall estate near Newcastle Airport for a proposed £190 million training complex. The facility would house the men's first team and academy, alongside dedicated women's and girls' facilities, with the men's team expected to move in for the 2029–30 season if planning permission is secured. The club plans to begin consultation with Newcastle City Council, residents and the local community before submitting a detailed application in early 2027. The development would restore parts of the historic estate while adding new facilities, with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and RB Sports & Media providing the first major infrastructure investment under the current ownership.

Matthias Jaissle has already dropped Newcastle United selection hint ahead of Liverpool
Newcastle United head coach Matthias Jaissle has indicated that Lewis Miley is unlikely to start the Premier League opener against Liverpool after recently returning from a broken fibula. Miley played the first half of Newcastle’s 2-1 pre-season defeat by Bayer Leverkusen, his first appearance since May, and is still being eased back to full fitness. Although departures in midfield could give him a larger role this season, Jaissle said the club would avoid placing excessive responsibility or pressure on the 20-year-old and allow him to develop gradually.
