Bonnie Tyler died in Portugal at age 75 following complications from emergency intestinal surgery. Known for global hits such as Total Eclipse of the Heart and Holding Out for a Hero, she rose to fame in the 1970s and became a major rock figure in the 1980s after adopting her signature raspy vocal style. Her family confirmed she had been critically ill despite initial signs of recovery. Tyler’s decades-long career included more than 100 million records sold, numerous albums, and a Eurovision appearance. She is survived by her husband Robert Sullivan.
