Another confrontation between police and protesters after the concert in Kadıköy square, Istanbul on the 15.09.2013. Many people gathered from before 15h to protest against government politics and use of force. This is just a grain of sand of whats been going on in Turkey since the 31st of may 2013.
A scene of the video-reportage "Into Ardak's House, an Eagle Hunter" that I am working on. We can see Ardak and his son, Naursbik, training the Bürkit (Eagle).
The hard job of recovering the net has to be done, if you throw it you pick it up, even if there is not much fish in the sea. Even that the men and women are in a good mood and joke. Even something went wrong and the nets of some boat got mixed with another one they are in a good mood and joke. They know they are at the sea, they know they have to share and coexist.
See the beauty that has been saved thanks to the persistence and mobilization of a few. Imagine more. The story of a group of people, the story of a region, the story of nature, once more, threaten (this time saved) by big mining corporations.

There are more than 2.5 million refugees from South Sudan displaced since 2013. Rhino Camp in the north of Uganda holds more than 85.000 refugees. I spent ten days with them to capture their testimonies of war and their lives outside their country. The stories told will be compiled into a video-reportage/documentary explaining their situation.
Death happens everywhere. People just deal different with it. Simplicity sometimes comes with the harshest problems in human life. A portrait of a funeral in the outskirts of Lomé, Togo's capital. How far apart from each other are we? We, that live in different hemispheres, countries, cities; we that have different backgrounds, we... People.
How could you make a culture empathic about another, one that is so far away, one that has nothing yet everything in common? We live in an era of global climate change driving migration and displacement of whole populations where money and power trumps moral and ethics. Don’t Send Help, Bring It Yourself is a documentary about how, with a little bit of effort, we can be the change for those that need it the most, us.

In 2013 a civil war broke out when Vice President Machar, a member of the Nuer ethnic group, was accused of a failed
coup d’état over the President Salva Kiir, a Dinka. These two ethnic groups had a history of pastoral clashes in the past
but, through the dismissal of Machar this history became a catalyzer for violence. The civilian are always the ones suffering. These are the stories of some people, refugees by force, of the refugee village of Ofua 3 in Rhino Camp, Uganda.
The Kumbh Mela is a Hindu festival in which Hindus gather to bathe in the sacred river Ganga. In Allahabad (Pryagrag) happens every 6 years and, supposedly, is where Brahma created the universe, in the confluence of the three rivers: Ganga, Yamuna and the mystical Saraswati. In the Sangam.
