London bus routes 19 and 38 will be changed under TfL plans
Transport for London will alter bus routes 19 and 38 and introduce a new route 10 to maintain capacity between Essex Road and Holborn and preserve links to central London. Route 19 will be shortened to terminate at Victoria and route 38 will end at New Oxford Street. Consultation responses showed a majority of users opposed the changes, with local councils and MP Meg Hillier warning of negative effects on vulnerable residents. London Travel Watch also withheld support, citing ongoing reliability concerns. TfL plans to review the changes after implementation in November.
