Widnes will host a month-long rubber duck hunt beginning August 1, followed by a Duck Festival at Victoria Park on August 30. Families can search for 40 sponsored ducks at local businesses and community venues, while ten giant glitter ducks will be hidden near the park. The festival will include music, games, stalls, raffles and family activities, with proceeds supporting the purchase and maintenance of community defibrillators through Aidan Jackson's Community Defibrillators.

Cygnet Paddocks, a 28-bed neuropsychiatric rehabilitation service in Widnes, held a seaside-themed summer fair for men with acquired brain injuries and other neurological conditions. Service users helped plan the event, which included fairground games, a barbecue, ice cream and handmade decorations. The fair aimed to encourage social interaction, participation and community spirit among service users and staff.
