North Yorkshire village's 'only pub' put up for sale
The Lord Nelson Inn, the only pub in Appleton Wiske near Northallerton, has been put on the market for £275,000. The Grade II listed property includes two bar and lounge areas, a commercial kitchen, cellar, storage, an annex with potential for conversion into guest accommodation, and two-bedroom owner’s living quarters. The current family owners have operated it as a profitable lifestyle business for nearly 20 years, with sales split between 45% drinks and 55% food. Agents Sidney Phillips say revenue could increase through longer opening hours and expanded food service.
