Aldi confirm new 62p rule in car parks across 250 stores
Aldi is deploying 1,200 electric vehicle chargers across more than 250 UK stores through a partnership with Drax Electric Vehicles, offering rapid charging at 62p per kWh and standard charging at 40p. Over 30 stores already feature the new infrastructure, with plans to expand installation to about 20 additional stores each year. All new stores will include both fast and rapid chargers. Executives from both Aldi and Drax describe the rollout as a convenient, sustainable service that supports the growing number of EV drivers and helps reduce emissions.
