Aldi is investing £100 million to cut prices on 330 everyday food, household and personal-care products in the UK. Reductions include selected British steaks, nectarines, honeydew melons and Specially Selected cheddar, with Aldi saying it has reduced prices on more than 1,000 items this year. The retailer has also announced the return of its Summer Support Scheme, offering £50 shops to families throughout July and August.

Tesco’s Clubcard Challenge runs from August 3 to September 13, offering selected customers up to 5,000 bonus Clubcard points worth £50 by completing ten personalised shopping tasks through the Tesco Grocery and Clubcard app. Points can be exchanged for Tesco vouchers or used with reward partners, sometimes at double value. Customers can also enter a prize draw for one of 40 all-inclusive Mediterranean holidays by making qualifying purchases of at least £25 between August 3 and September 1; each purchase counts as a separate entry, and each winner receives £500 and travel insurance.
