‘Potentially lethal’ baby items being sold including on Amazon, TikTok Shop and Etsy
A Which? investigation uncovered 150 unsafe baby products, including self-feeders, sleep pillows and sleeping bags, being sold on major online marketplaces. The items posed choking and suffocation risks and were found across platforms such as Amazon, AliExpress, Etsy, TikTok Shop and others. Most companies removed the flagged listings once notified, though Wish did not respond. Which? criticised marketplaces for failing to prevent dangerous items from reaching consumers and called for stronger oversight to protect infants.
