Steve Paige retired after 42 years with Church Stretton Fire Station, including 29 years as station leader. He marked his final day by arriving in his original 1984 firefighting gear, recalling the equipment used early in his career. Mayor Mark Redhead and others offered praise for his long service, strong connection to the community and contributions to public safety, wishing him a happy retirement.
