Junaidi Hanafiah

My name is Junaidi Hanafiah, I am a journalist residing in Aceh, Indonesia.

I have been focusing on covering environmental issues, particularly the challenges and efforts in conserving biodiversity and natural resources in Indonesia.

I frequently report on environmental crimes, including the poaching of protected wildlife, encroachment on forest areas, mining, and issues concerning indigenous communities.

Additionally, I document the rich flora and fauna of Indonesia, especially in the Leuser Ecosystem, one of the world's most important rainforest areas.

I also train young journalists to become more interested in in-depth reporting on environmental issues and to understand the main problems that occur.
