About Kai
I am an American based in Bonn, Germany. I am only willing to work remotely at the moment due to the pandemic.

I have worked as a Bundesliga commentator, photographer and writer in some capacity since 2013. My work has been featured primarily on the Bundesliga Fanatic and Deutsche Welle, Germany's international public broadcaster. I also covered US sports, primarily around the Washington, DC area, for local outlets.

I have also worked as a travel writer, primarily in Japan and Europe for Deutsche Welle. I hope to expand my traveling horizons after the pandemic.

As you can imagine, much of my reporting happened with Deutsche Welle. I have also covered nerdy stories, world politics and offbeat news.
