South Tyneside Stalker Sent Victim a Facebook Friend Request with a Photo of Her Name Tattooed on His Back
Nigel Blackburn, 43, was sentenced to two years in prison after admitting breaching a restraining order and stalking an ex-partner in a way that caused her to fear violence. After his release from prison, he allegedly shouted abuse outside her home and sent her, her friends and her father Facebook requests using a profile photo showing her name tattooed across his back. The victim moved to a secret location and said she feared he might kill her. Newcastle Crown Court heard details of Blackburn’s previous offending and personal history before Judge Carolyn Scott imposed the sentence.
