Thames Water gives update on hosepipe ban fears
Thames Water reports that no hosepipe ban is currently planned for Cirencester but asks customers to avoid using hosepipes and sprinklers due to sharply increased demand during recent high temperatures. The company cites a 30 percent rise in household water use and stresses the need for conservation to maintain supply. Thames Water continues monitoring water levels, repairing leaks, upgrading infrastructure and expanding smart meter use while encouraging customers to make small changes to reduce outdoor water usage.
