Murder victim Joanna Derkacz suffered neck fractures, jury told
Testimony at Portsmouth Crown Court indicated that Joanna Derkacz suffered three neck fractures caused by significant deliberate force within hours of her death. Prosecutors assert that Stephen Sexton was responsible, with evidence showing the injuries were unlikely accidental and occurred just before she died. After her death, Sexton allegedly made no effort to seek help and twice attempted to visit sex workers. Derkacz’s sister discovered the body, and the trial remains ongoing.
