A 60-year-old woman was found dead at a property on Llandeilo Road in Cross Hands, west Wales. Dyfed-Powys Police arrested a 63-year-old man on suspicion of murder, but later released him on bail. Police are investigating the circumstances of the death, have informed and supported the woman’s next of kin, and say the incident is isolated with no wider public safety concern.

Thousands of people lined Newton Road and Mumbles Road in Swansea as Bonnie Tyler’s coffin was taken from William Pressdee Funeralcare to the home she shared with her husband, Robert Sullivan. The coffin was draped in a Welsh flag, while mourners applauded, sang “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” threw roses and shared memories of the singer’s warmth and connection to her hometown. The procession caused severe traffic disruption, and a public celebration of Tyler’s life was scheduled at Swansea Minster on August 17, followed by a private family committal.
