Several UK product and food recalls and safety warnings are highlighted. Years recalled all fresh dog food and paused subscriptions after more than 50 dogs reportedly developed dry-eye symptoms potentially linked to buckwheat. The MHRA advised parents and caregivers not to use rectal catheters on babies because their safety and effectiveness are not sufficiently supported by clinical evidence. Food recalls include A.Vogel Rapunzel red clover seeds over possible Shiga toxin-producing E. coli, Lays Sour Cream & Dill Crisps sold at Home Bargains over undeclared milk and wheat, Bon Bons Wholesale chocolate products over undeclared milk and soya, and Gü Double Sea Salted Caramel Frozen Dessert sold at Tesco and Waitrose over undeclared hazelnuts and soya. Consumers with affected products are advised not to eat or use them and to seek appropriate health guidance.

The Food Standards Agency has issued recall warnings for products sold at Waitrose, Tesco and Asda. Waitrose’s eight-pack Chocolate Chip Brioche Rolls, batch B26177 with a July 26, 2026 best-before date, may contain hard plastic and metal and should not be eaten. Graham’s Family Dairy semi-skimmed milk in one-pint, one-litre and two-litre sizes, marked with a July 31, 2026 best-before date, may contain trace veterinary medicines including penicillin and should not be consumed. Customers should return affected products for a refund or dispose of them safely.
