Jasmine Beverley told Hull Crown Court that funeral director Robert Bush betrayed her trust after her stillborn son Sunny's remains were found nearly two years later in a brown paper bag at Legacy Independent Funeral Directors. Beverley and three other women said Bush gave them the wrong ashes and described the lasting emotional trauma caused by the discovery. Bush, who was involved in running Legacy's funeral homes, pleaded guilty to 31 previously denied charges, including preventing the lawful and decent burial of 30 deceased people and stealing from charities, in addition to 36 fraud-related offences. The sentencing hearing is continuing and Bush remains in custody.
