Child dies in house fire close to site of A66 crash that killed two police officers
A child was among two people killed in a house fire on Birchington Avenue in Grangetown, near Middlesbrough. Cleveland Police arrested two men, aged 23 and 31, on suspicion of murder. A 48-year-old woman remains critically ill, while three others sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not ruled out a connection between the fire and the nearby A66 crash that killed two police officers and five young men.
