Family of missing Creeting St Mary man concerned for welfare
The family of 81-year-old David Primmer raised concerns after he left his home in Creeting St Mary on foot on the morning of August 14. Suffolk Police and Suffolk Lowland Search & Rescue assisted in the search. Police later confirmed that he had been found safe and well.

Ransomes Way in Ipswich to close overnight for two weeks
Ransomes Way and James Bennett Avenue in Ipswich will close overnight from 8pm to 5am for resurfacing work over a two-week period. Resident and business access will be maintained, with diversions directing traffic via the A1156, A14, A1189 and Crane Boulevard. Short delays are expected.

Landfill site in Great Blakenham near Ipswich catches fire
A fire broke out at a landfill site on Bramford Lane in Great Blakenham near Ipswich at 12:52 a.m. on Sunday, with several vehicles also alight. Crews from across Suffolk deployed four fire engines, a rescue vehicle and a water carrier, while residents were warned to keep windows and doors closed because of thick smoke. The blaze was extinguished by 4 a.m., and the site was scheduled for reinspection at 7 a.m.
