Two nights of disorder in Thetford leads to police powers
Norfolk Constabulary introduced temporary Section 60AA and Section 34 powers in Thetford after two nights of serious disorder, protests and property vandalism. The measures allow officers to require people to remove face coverings and direct those involved in anti-social behaviour to leave the area, with arrest possible for refusal. Two men were arrested and police officers were injured during the unrest.
