New parking restrictions planned for Marlow to ease traffic issues
Buckinghamshire Council is consulting residents and businesses on proposed parking and loading changes in Marlow, covering West Street, Spittal Street, High Street, Quoiting Square car park and Wethered Road. The measures include new or amended loading and waiting restrictions, a revised bus stop restriction, removal of some parking controls and new double yellow lines, with the aim of improving traffic and goods flow. Responses are due by 11:59 p.m. on September 25, after which the council will prepare recommendations for its transport leadership.

Crazy Bear Hotel in Beaconsfield launches new £10 karaoke room
Crazy Bear Hotel in Beaconsfield has opened The Studio, a 1970s-inspired karaoke room for groups of up to 20 people. Guests can choose from more than 125,000 songs via Singa during 90-minute sessions, priced at £10 per person from noon to 6pm and £22 from 6pm to 10pm. The launch follows upgrades to the hotel’s outdoor area, while a private dining cabin is also planned.

Beaconsfield Schoolboy, 10, Scores Top Marks in GCSE Maths Exam
Ten-year-old Beaconsfield pupil Ruben Nijhar achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths after teaching himself the syllabus in five months. He scored 224 out of 240 marks despite most pupils taking the qualification at age 15 or 16. Supported by his father and AI-powered learning tools developed by the family, Ruben completed practice papers and secured a place at an exam centre. His parents say he maintained a balanced childhood involving sport and friends, and he will begin at the Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe while exploring A-level mathematics.
