Season seven of Channel 5's All Creatures Great and Small will return in September 2026 with six episodes and a Christmas special. The returning cast includes Nicholas Ralph, Anna Madeley, Samuel West, Rachel Shenton and Callum Woodhouse, while Irish actor and musician Caolan McCarthy joins as rival vet Granville Bennett. Set in the Yorkshire Dales in 1946 after the Second World War, the new season will explore James Herriot's interest in veterinary developments while a competing vet challenges Skeldale House. The season was commissioned alongside season eight and continues the show's strong performance and critical reception.

Netflix is filming a six-part series in Manchester and across northern England based on Roald Dahl’s adult short stories. Adapted by Danny Brocklehurst and produced with Orchid Pictures, the series follows a young couple trapped in a faded seaside town as they encounter conmen, adulterers, murderous mothers and snake charmers while trying to escape. The cast includes Imelda Staunton, Nicola Coughlan, Toby Jones, Dominic West, Naomi Scott and other prominent actors. The production forms part of Netflix’s broader work with Dahl’s estate following its acquisition of the Roald Dahl Story Company in 2021.
